Privacy Policy
Last updated: April 18, 2026
NetProbe ("the App") is a network connectivity testing tool developed by Masterofowls. This privacy policy explains how the App handles your data.
Data Collection
NetProbe does not collect, store, or transmit any personal data to external servers. All data stays on your device.
What the App Does
- Network requests: The App sends HTTP HEAD requests to public web services (e.g., google.com, cloudflare.com) solely to measure connectivity and latency. No personal information is included in these requests.
- IP geolocation: The App may query a public IP geolocation API to display your approximate location and ISP. This data is not stored or shared.
- Local storage: Your resource list, settings, and preferences are stored locally on your device using AsyncStorage. This data is never transmitted.
- Notifications: The App may send local notifications about connectivity changes. These are generated on-device and do not involve any external service.
Data We Do NOT Collect
- Personal information (name, email, phone number)
- Location data (GPS coordinates)
- Device identifiers or advertising IDs
- Usage analytics or telemetry
- Cookies or tracking data
Third-Party Services
The App does not integrate any third-party analytics, advertising, or tracking SDKs.
Children's Privacy
The App does not knowingly collect any personal information from children under the age of 13. Since the App collects no personal data from any user, it is safe for all ages.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this privacy policy from time to time. Any changes will be posted on this page with an updated revision date.
